We are still here and we are STILL reading. Sorry it's been a while since the Rowles posted. We are on track to finish by the 4th of July. We may need to read a bit extra on Sunday nights though. It has been a great habit that we hope to continue.

Finally, I think I have figured out all of the "ites". The Mulekites, the Jeredites, along with the Nephites and the Lamamites.

We are in Second Nephi!

Reading the Book of Mormon can seem like a big task. If we take it just a little bit at a time, it is much easier. Sort of like a big pile of snow, it can be moved one shovel at a time. Keep up the good work. Love you all.

Are you there?

Just wondering how you all are doing with your reading? I have been going real slow lately. I need to pace myself and try to read a couple of chapters a day. I can't read at night any more. Always to tired to read very much and I have a more difficult time remembering what I have read. Hang in there everyone. We will have a big party in July to celebrate finishing the Book of Mormon. Love you all.

Some of the time I feel like Laman or Lemuel and my younger brother should be a ruler over me. He is quite the stud as you can see in this leaping accross the river in Scotland photo. Both Ryan and Mike are the best brother's a guy could ask for.....luv you guys! Congrats on Ryan and PIG non prof statis. Way to go!

Baptism

"When we understand our baptismal covenant and the gift of the Holy Ghost, it will change our lives and will establish our total allegiance to the kingdom of God. When temptations come our way, if we will listen, the Holy Ghost will remind us that we have promised to remember our Savior and obey the commandments of God." Elder Robert D. Hales
Sometimes we take our baptism for granted. In 2nd Nephi:31, The voice of the Son tells us that if we are baptised in His name, the Father will give us the Holy Ghost. He says, follow Me and do the things which you have seen Me do. Eternal life comes to those who keep the commandments after baptism.
